We‘ve seen a lot of interest from fans looking to contribute directly to our Fan Of The Day gallery. In the past, we‘ve focused on photos that the band and crew have captured while on tour, etc. But since the band are on a break from touring for a little while, we decide to allow you to submit your own photos for posting.
To submit your photo, include a full size JPG image (no more than 450 pixels wide) and a thumbnail image (exactly 75×56 pixels) as email attachments sent to info@offspring.com. Also include a few sentences about yourself and/or the photo (sorry, English language only please). Posting of photos is done at the discretion of Offspring.com, not all submissions can be posted.

09.27.05 - New track info!
Two sources (Pause & Play and Top Hits Online) have stated that the album was supposed to be released in November 2005. However, the rumour turned to be incorrect, depending on source (Ultimate-Guitar.com), but it has been confirmed by Jerry Finn that next single will be called "Pass me by" for the album.
This is new information from Wikipedia. It used to say Forbidden Love until recently.
09.26.05 - Next To You On The Radio
If you haven‘t heard by now, The Offspring included their cover of “Next To You,” originally by The Police, as a unlisted final track on the US version of Greatest Hits album. It seems that radio stations are now picking up on the song, hearing about it from fans and playing it on the air. So thanks to you guys requesting it, keep it up.
09.26.05 - The Offspring To Play BlizzCon Game Festival
The Offspring will headline the closing-night concert at the BlizzCon computer/video game festival on October 29 at the Convention Center in Anaheim, CA. BlizzCon is an inaugural game festival from software developer Blizzard Entertainment and will include two days of gaming, contests, developer Q&A panels, an official tournament and other activities.
BlizzCon ShowPasses, which include a ticket to the closing-night Offspring concert, are sold out, and concert tickets are not being sold separately. However, a limited number of additional BlizzCon ShowPasses (US $120) may become available in October, so check the official BlizzCon web site regularly if you’re interested in attending the show.
09.25.05 - Site Update - Email Update - Offspring Update.
Well, I got more of the site up. I use Mozilla Firefox as my web browser and the site looks fine when I test it, but I realized that it looks messed up on Internet Explorer. Hopefully it's fixed now, let me know if there is some problems still. Also I got a new email address. jake@jakesoffspring.com. No new news on offspring.com, but I was told that Noodles said in an interview that they are heading into the studio in early 2006 and hope to get the record out by spring! Also they still have 2 more records left on their contract with Columbia Records. That's all the news for now, cya.

09.01.05 - New Album Info
The 8th studio album from The Offspring is due to hit stores November 15, 2005. It will be produced by Jerry Fin (Can't Repeat) and is yet to be given a title publicly. Guitarist Noodles told Billboard.com the new CD is "kind of all across the board," explaining that it carries songs with a punk edge, as well as "some tongue-in-cheek, humorous, more fun stuff." He said the band have five or six songs ready and he isn't sure whether or not they will be on the as-yet-untitled album.
I will try my best to get the latest info, but it is hard to keep on top of everything, so if you would like to help out, let me know.
08.17.05 - Spain Show Added, Helsinki Fan Contest
Just Added! – The Offspring will perform September 21 in Oviedo, Spain at Complejo Deportivo Municipal de San Lazaro. This will be the final stop on the European tour, no further dates will be scheduled. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, August 20 via ticktackticket.com.
The band are also set to perform September 19 at Tavastia in Helsinki, Finland. While tickets to this small club show can only be acquired via contests on the sponsor's site, The Offspring have set aside a small number of tickets just for their fans.
08.09.05 - C.B.G.B's Benefit Show And Ticket Auction
The Offspring are set to play the famed New York City club C.B.G.B.‘s this Tuesday, August 16. This benefit show will aid in the club‘s efforts to resolve their current lease issues and remain in their historic location.

08.05.05 - Dexter talks about the new Offspring DVD
Hey everybody, I wanted to let you all know about our new DVD that has just been released. We‘re on the Warped tour right now in Florida, but I had to take a minute to post something, cause we‘re super stoked about this DVD!
Basically, this DVD is like our Greatest Hits CD, but all the videos, and a lot of extra stuff too. It‘s a compilation of all the music videos we‘ve done. There‘s 17 of them on this DVD, so check out this track listing:

I know, that‘s a lot of videos. I can‘t believe we‘ve done them all myself. But of course, we‘ve put tons of extra stuff on the DVD, because, well, that‘s just the kind of guys we are. We‘re givers. So jeez, where do I start?
Well, for one, we‘ve put two unreleased videos on the DVD. These are videos for Da Hui, and another one for the song Cool To Hate. These are music videos that we did ourselves, sort of guerrilla style, if you know what I mean. We even did a little documentary about the making of Da Hui, and we put that on too.
But that‘s not all! I know, I feel like an infomercial right but there‘s a lot of really cool stuff on this DVD that I want you guys to know about. Like, there are also 11 live songs of us in concert on here that we‘ve included, just because. Some of them were recorded at a TV show taping, and the others are from a show in Las Vegas we did a couple years back. So already, you‘re up to like 30 songs on this DVD.
And yes, of course there‘s more. You‘ll find a little interview where we caught up with Guy Cohen, the actor who was the Pretty Fly guy in our video. And, we‘ve included storyboards of some of our videos for you guys to check out.
There‘s also audio commentary on all our videos on the DVD. That‘s where you watch the video, and instead of hearing the music with it, the music volume is really low and you hear me and Noodles talking about the video – just whatever was going on at the time, what the video was about, all the little trivia stuff that rabid fans like you need to know.
And, if you look around, you might even be able to find some hidden stuff laying around somewhere…
So that‘s it. It‘s been really cool putting this DVD together, getting all the videos in one place that you couldn‘t buy anywhere before, and putting all the extra stuff on the DVD that I think makes it something sort of special.

06.21.05 - Greeting From Dexter
Hey there, everyone. Well today is the day that our Greatest Hits record comes out and I'm super stoked about it. In fact I'm so stoked that I just had to send you all a message giving you all the lowdown on everything that's on it, cause it's a lot!
First off, I can't believe we even have a Greatest Hits record coming out at all. It seems like we just started putting out records yesterday and yet here we are, seven records deep! We've been lucky enough to have a lot of songs from each record that people have heard on the radio, or MTV, or from seeing us live on tour, or whatnot. So about a year ago we decided, what the hell? We've got enough singles to put out a Greatest Hits record, so why not do it?
Actually, that's one of the things that folks say when they see us live, is "Damn, I didn't know you guys had so many songs I knew!" Yes, they really say damn. So we're proud to put this record out, cause it's not like just a couple songs you know and then a bunch of songs we'd like you to get to know, it's pretty solid. Check out the sequence on this CD:

So there you go. Fourteen songs you probably know. And, I'm not saying, but if I was saying, I'd say that you just might find something extra on the CD too. Like songwise. But I'm not saying.
But that's not all! I know, I feel like a Ronco commercial right now, but I want to make sure everyone knows what's up with this record, cause it's pretty cool.
The new thing right now is DualDisc. That's where you put out a CD which is just a regular old CD on one side, but if you flip it over, the other side is a DVD. Just put it in your DVD player and bam, it's like you got two things. So we're also putting Greatest Hits out as a DualDisc. Well, we wanted to do something kind of special for you guys out there buying this record, cause we know some of you already have a lot of these songs. So Noodles and I decided to sit down one day on camera with acoustic guitars and just sit around, telling our stories about a lot of these songs, where they came from, what was going on with us at the time, you know. Like a fireplace chat with Noodles and Dexter. It was actually a lot of fun and I think people will dig hearing some of the weird stories about how our songs were written.
After that, just for shits and giggles, Noodles and I decided to play a song on acoustic guitars. We did a song called Dirty Magic, which is one of our favorite songs off of a record we did called Ignition. It sounds cool doing it acoustic style, and we thought it would be a nice touch on the DVD side.
Well there it is. So this CD not only has the Greatest Hits, plus our new single Can?t Repeat, but with the DualDisc, it's also got a DVD side that has story time with me and Noodles and an acoustic version of Dirty Magic. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, if you have a surround sound system on your DVD player you can play the whole DualDisc in 5.1 surround sound, which is all crazy and really cool sounding. Man, that's a lot of stuff. We should be selling this thing for like 50 bucks!
No, just kidding. We're just proud to be putting this thing out and we hope you guys dig it. And it's out today, so pick it up, dudes.

06.09.05 - Can't Repeat Name Change?
I recieved an email from Columbia Record's Offspring mailing list, and it talked about the release and stuff. Nothing out of the ordinary, until it mentions the single Can't Repeat. They keep calling it Can't Repeat (Life Goes On). This is the only time I have heard it being used. No other sites selling the album have posted that name and even before on the official site, they only called it Can't Repeat. Why all of a sudden a name change? Also the email had a spelling mistake: they used viideos instead of videos, but thats not important.

I picked a few copies of AP mag with Dexter in it. There is a lengthy interview with some people from bands that are going to be in the Vans Warped Tour '05. 06.08.05 - Some New Cool Info on the Greatest Hits Tracklist
According the official Japanese Sony Music Offspring site, Next To You will be on the album. Also, all the tracks have the words (album version) beside them, except Da Hui. That leads me to believe that this could be a new or different version of Da Hui, either that or they messed up. When you listen to the audio sample, it's the same song as on Splinter, but, they probely just took the sample from Splinter, because they have no samples for the other new songs (Can't Repeat, Next To You). Another thing is that they say that Next To You is the album version, but unless I'm retarded, I don't think it has every been on an album. In their news section, it vaguely talks about a bonus track. I translated the page using this site. The info should be official since it is Sony Music's official Japanese Offspring Site.

Offspring.com has completly changed the site from RED to GREY . I'm assuming that it has something to do with the Greatest Hits release, because of the colours of the cover of the CD and DVD . I think it looks cool and it's a nice change. They have also put up a new picture in the corner, cool. I first noticed the change a few days ago when I saw a few buttons in the music section turn from red to grey, and then, today, the whole site changed.

05.29.05 - The Rise and Fall of the Can't Repeat Video
Offspring.com has put up the Can't Repeat video for everyone to view. But, after a few days, it has completely disappeared. The video was in the news section and in the video section, but it is not in either now, even the news about the video is gone. It's popping up on internet on various sites and even on Jake's Offspring.

05.24.05 - Free Tickets To Louisville, KY Show
Offspring.com has a limited number of free general admission tickets for fans to see The Offspring headline the Dew Action Sports Tour stop on Saturday, June 11 in Louisville, Kentucky. The music stage will be on the grounds of the event‘s festival village, within the Kentucky Expo Center, and will be easily accessible from all competition venues. Come down to the Expo Center, see some rad action sports athletes and then rock out with The Offspring.

Offspring guitarist Noodles tells us he's "stoked" that the band is finally getting to do the Warped Tour. Although they've never played one before, he says, he's usually been able to catch a Warped show every year except when the Offspring's been on the road at the same time. He always looks forward to the chance to catch "somebody up-and-coming that you know in a few years is going to be breaking down doors." The Warped Tour kicks off June 17th in Columbus, Ohio.

Columbia Records is ready to release The Offspring's Greatest Hits, the first-ever career-spanning collection of bona fide hits from Orange County's legendary multi-platinum punk rock band, on Tuesday, June 21. A companion piece, The Offspring's Complete Music Video Collection, will be in stores on Tuesday, July 5.
The Offspring's Greatest Hits is being released as a both a conventional CD and as a DualDisc. The DualDisc version of Greatest Hits features the entire album on the audio-only side while the DVD side includes the full album in 5.1 stereo; an in-the-studio retrospective piece with The Offspring's Dexter Holland and Noodles offering anecdotes and insight into the group's history with the inside stories behind the hits; and an exclusive in-the- studio acoustic performance of "Dirty Magic," from the group's 1993 Epitaph album, Ignition.
Greatest Hits opens with the group's new single, "Can't Repeat," a brand- new previously unreleased song followed by three career-defining hits -- "Come Out And Play (Keep 'Em Separated)," "Self Esteem," and "Gotta Get Away" -- from The Offspring's 1994 watershed album on Epitaph, Smash, which has sold more than 11 million copies worldwide and is one of the best-selling independent releases of all time.
The Offspring's Greatest Hits also includes a non-stop series of bona fide hits culled from the group's Columbia Records catalog -- 1997's Ixnay On The Hombre ("All I Want," "Gone Away"); 1998's Americana ("Pretty Fly [For A White Guy]," "Why Don't You Get A Job?," "The Kids Aren't Alright"); 2000's Conspiracy Of One ("Original Prankster," "Want You Bad"); and 2003's Splinter ("Hit That," "[Can't Get My] Head Around You"). 05.10.05 - Dew Action Sports Tour
The Offspring will headline the Dew Action Sports Tour stop on June 11 in Louisville, Kentucky. The music stage will be on the grounds of the event‘s festival village, within the Kentucky Expo Center, and will be easily accessible from all competition venues.
A large block of tickets to the general admission show have been set aside by the band just for Offspring fans. Offspring.com will soon announce details on how to sign up for a free pair of tickets so you can come down and rock out at the show. Check back very soon.
Concert admission is also included in the daily $12 ticket price and $35 four day passes.

03.09.05 - In The Studio
The Offspring are wrapping up sessions with producer Jerry Finn who also produced the band‘s version of “I Wanna Be Sedated“ for the We‘re A Happy Family Ramones tribute album. They have been working on new songs, covers and even reworked older songs. The plan is to add one of these tracks to a “greatest hits“ collection due later this year.
Dexter says the new stuff is “rockin‘“ and “the sessions with Jerry are working out great.”
Dexter also joined up with members of other 2005 Warped Tour bands recently for an Alternative Press cover shoot in LA. The issue will hit news stands in May. Warped Tour dates should be announced soon so check back here for the latest news.
